weekend update #1

It was a beautiful weekend here in Brooklyn.  Saturday included a nice morning stroll and brunch at Osteria il Paiolo over on the Bedford side of Williamsburg. The restaurant is beautiful, upscale even, but the fried poached eggs and fresh homemade sausage required an additional plate to be ordered. Sunday was a different story.  Mama woke up feeling not-so-great, so Papa got Lil up and dressed and out for a short jaunt.  While it was wonderful for Mama to get some rest, Lil's look may have taken a leetle hit.  I often complain about living on the east side of Williamsburg, on the outskirts of the baby scene, but today it saved her rep.  Imagine what her friends would have thought, seeing her in a pink onesie with the red polka dot trim on the jeans, and her royal blue bow-tie socks.  Ohhh, Papa.

you got that right

Papa went with the obvious choice when picking Sunday's outfit.  Lil ought to look her best, and he made sure she looked adorable.

Now, onto the real baby fashion.

With all the tummy time Lil's been getting since learning to roll over (or in today's case, tummy-to-tummy time), it's nice to get a little backside flare.  This lady beetle onesie was a hand-me-down from our fave 2-year-old, Lia.  It's great for playtime, outings, cuddles... you name it.  Lil is a natural cuddle bug, so it fits her personality nicely.

I'd say a pretty decent weekend.
